B. Technical & Usage Data (Collected Automatically)

• To operate and improve the Picbee platform
• To host your events, albums, galleries, and media
• To enable face-search and POV upload features

3. Face Recognition & Biometric Data

Picbee offers optional face recognition features to help you organize and search photos. This section explains how we handle biometric data in compliance with GDPR, CCPA, BIPA, and other applicable laws.

A. What Biometric Data We Collect

• Face Embeddings: Mathematical representations (vectors) derived from facial features in photos
• Face Clusters: Groupings of similar faces to help organize your photos by person
• Bounding Box Data: Location coordinates of faces within photos

B. How We Process Face Data

• Photos are analyzed using AI models to detect faces
• Face embeddings are generated and stored on encrypted servers
• Similar faces are grouped together using clustering algorithms
• Processing occurs only when you explicitly enable face recognition
• We do NOT use face data for advertising or share it with third parties

C. Consent & Control

• Opt-in Only: Face recognition is disabled by default and requires your explicit consent
• Easy Disable: You can turn off face recognition at any time in Settings
• Delete Anytime: You can delete all face data with one tap in Settings
• Withdraw Consent: Disabling the feature withdraws your consent for future processing

D. Retention & Deletion

• Face embeddings are retained only while the feature is enabled
• When you disable face recognition, processing stops immediately
• Using "Clear Face Data" permanently deletes all biometric data
• Upon account deletion, all biometric data is permanently removed within 30 days

E. Security Measures

• Face data is encrypted in transit and at rest
• Access is restricted to essential personnel only
• We maintain audit logs of data access
• Regular security assessments are conducted

4. Subprocessors

Picbee works with trusted third-party service providers (subprocessors) to deliver our features—such as hosting, image storage, analytics, email delivery, and payment processing. These partners follow strict data protection standards.

5. Public & Shared Content

Photos and albums you mark as public will be visible to anyone with the event link or custom domain. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and permissions to upload and share any media on Picbee.

6. Children's Privacy

Picbee is not intended for individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If such data is found, it will be removed promptly.

7. Your Rights

You may request at any time:

• Access to your personal data
• Corrections or updates to your account details
• Deletion of data where legally applicable
• Restrictions on processing

8. Data Security

9. Data Retention

We retain your content for as long as your account or subscription remains active. If your plan expires or becomes inactive, we may delete your data after a reasonable notice period.

Your data may be stored or processed in regions outside your home country, always under legally compliant data protection frameworks.
